Work a lead

Drive a lead from first touch to qualified — edit details, advance stages, and keep the activity timeline current.

The lead detail page is where you actually work a deal: edit the fields, record what happened, and decide what's next.

Tabs on the page

  • Overview — name, value, dates, linked account and contact, stage, summary metrics.
  • Activity — chronological timeline of calls, emails, WhatsApp, SMS, and notes against this lead.
  • Files — proposals, contracts, and other documents attached to the lead.

Common tasks

  1. Update lead fields — value, expected close date, source, etc.
  2. Advance the stage — move the lead to the next stage from the detail page or by dragging it on the kanban.
  3. Reach the contact — use the email, call, WhatsApp, or SMS composer. Each touch lands on the activity timeline automatically.
  4. Pin a note — pinned notes float to the top of the timeline so the next teammate sees the latest context first.

Tips

  • Keep the close date honest. Forecast quality is downstream of clean dates.
  • If a lead has stalled, don't just re-date it — leave a note explaining what's blocking and what you're waiting on.
