The RFQ Generator agent in the Agent Library produces a formal RFQ draft from free-form input — useful when the request did not arrive as a structured inbound inquiry, or when you want to pre-fill a brand new RFQ without starting from a template.
How to run it
- Open Agent Library.
- Pick RFQ Generator.
- Paste the source content (an email, a meeting note, a phone-call summary). You can also link to an existing inquiry.
- Click Run. The agent returns a draft RFQ in your workspace.
- Review and edit the draft like any other RFQ — see Edit formal RFQ content.
What the agent does
- Extracts line items, quantities, and units.
- Infers a sensible RFQ title and response-by date.
- Flags ambiguous or missing fields rather than guessing.
What the agent does not do
- It does not send the RFQ to suppliers.
- It does not auto-promote the source inquiry to a lead. That decision stays with the operator.
- It does not modify existing RFQs — each run produces a new draft.
When to use this vs. "Create formal RFQ from inquiry"
- Use Create formal RFQ from inquiry when there is already an inbound inquiry record. You keep the link automatically.
- Use the RFQ Generator when you are starting from raw text or when the source is not yet (or will not be) an inquiry.
