The estimates page is the master list of every quote you've prepared. Estimates are pre-sale: they describe what you'd charge if the customer proceeds, and they have a valid until date by design.
What you can do here
- Search and filter by status, contact, account, opportunity, or date range.
- Configure columns to match how your team works.
- Create an estimate with line items, tax, and a valid until date.
- Open an estimate to send it, track approval, or convert to an invoice.
Statuses
- Draft — being prepared.
- Sent — delivered to the contact, awaiting decision.
- Approved — the customer accepted. Convert to invoice when the work is delivered.
- Rejected — the customer declined.
- Expired — past the valid-until date with no decision.
Tips
- Always set a meaningful valid until. Open-ended estimates are hard to manage and easy to forget.
- Link the estimate to the underlying opportunity. The estimate's status then influences the opportunity's stage progression.
