Estimates overview

Browse and create estimates — quotes you send to customers before they decide.

The estimates page is the master list of every quote you've prepared. Estimates are pre-sale: they describe what you'd charge if the customer proceeds, and they have a valid until date by design.

What you can do here

  • Search and filter by status, contact, account, opportunity, or date range.
  • Configure columns to match how your team works.
  • Create an estimate with line items, tax, and a valid until date.
  • Open an estimate to send it, track approval, or convert to an invoice.

Statuses

  • Draft — being prepared.
  • Sent — delivered to the contact, awaiting decision.
  • Approved — the customer accepted. Convert to invoice when the work is delivered.
  • Rejected — the customer declined.
  • Expired — past the valid-until date with no decision.

Tips

  • Always set a meaningful valid until. Open-ended estimates are hard to manage and easy to forget.
  • Link the estimate to the underlying opportunity. The estimate's status then influences the opportunity's stage progression.
